From Algorithms to Assurance: Designing Human-Centric AI to enhance Collaboration, Trust, and Acceptance

The AI4realnet project will host a dynamic workshop during the European AI, Data, and Robotics Forum (ADRF), the annual community gathering event organized by the AI, Data and Robotics Association (Adra) in collaboration with the European Commission. The project successfully applied to the call for workshops and was selected to present a collaborative workshop on human-centric AI. “From Algorithms to Assurance:  Designing Human-Centric AI to enhance Collaboration, Trust, and Acceptance” will teach participants how to design and evaluate AI systems that prioritize human needs, values, and collaboration, enhancing decision-making, productivity, and trust across various domains.

By taking part in the workshop, participants will:

  • Understand the key concepts and importance of human-centric AI for decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Gain insights into the psychological and social aspects of human-AI interaction.
  • Learn about the frameworks and methodologies for designing AI systems that effectively team with human users.
  • Explore various use cases of human-centric AI in domains such as smart cities, energy, healthcare, transportation, manufacturing, journalism, and collaborative work environments.
  • Develop practical skills to evaluate AI systems that enhance end-users’ acceptability and trust.
